Only the Sbi customer’s meeting the below mentioned eligibility criteria are can apply for Rupay Platinum Debit card:

  • Depositors having deposit of >= Rs. 5 lacs OR
  • Home loan borrowers having limit of >= Rs. 10 lacs OR
  • Car loan borrowers having limit of >= Rs. 3 lacs

How To Apply for Sbi Rupay Platinum Card?
You can apply online or manually via branch. Both ways are explained below.

1.) Best is to visit your branch where you hold an account and request for the same.
However, you can download the application form from the mentioned link and submit the same at your home branch.

Once you submit a written request, your new card will reach your registered address in 7 working days from the date of receipt of your application. Once you received the card, you are required to generate ATM Pin instantly free of cost through Internet banking, IVR or ATM or by sending SMS from your registered mobile number. If mobile number is not registered, you may contact the nearest branch of State Bank of India / Home Branch and give a written request. Branch will provide an instant Pre-Printed PIN Kit (PPK) to you.

2.) If you avail the internet banking facility, we request you to kindly follow the below mentioned steps to apply for new ATM/Debit card through online.

Important Information:-

This facility enables you to apply for new State Bank ATM card online either by using OTP or profile password.

Step-by-Step Process:-

Login to OnlineSBI (https://retail.onlinesbi.com/retail/login.htm)
Go to ‘e-Services’ tab.
Click on ‘ATM Card Services’ link in the left panel.
Five links i.e. ‘Block ATM Card’, ‘ATM Card Limit/Channel/Usage Change’, ‘ATM PIN Generation’, ‘New ATM Card Activation’ and ‘Request ATM/Debit Card’ will be displayed.
Click on ‘Request ATM/Debit Card’ link.
Select the mode; Using One Time Password or Using Profile Password.

Using OTP

If you select the mode ‘Using One Time Password’, INB system will send an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Select Primary account.
Select Secondary account.
Enter the ‘Name on the Card’.
Select the ‘type of card’ from the dropdown values.
Please go through the terms and conditions and accept the terms and conditions by clicking on the box.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Confirm the details on the next page.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
A success message “Congratulations ! your card request has been recorded. You will receive your debit card within 7 working days at your registered address” will be displayed on the screen.

Using Profile Password

Select the mode ‘Profile Password’
Enter your profile password.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Select Primary account.
Select Secondary account.
Enter the ‘Name on the Card’.
Select the ‘Type of Card’ from the dropdown values.
Accept the terms and conditions by clicking on the box.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Confirm the details on the next page.
Click on ‘Submit’ button.
A success message “Congratulations ! your card request has been recorded. You will receive your debit card within 7 working days at your registered address.”

Whats after you received the new card?

We request you to contact at our below mentioned toll free numbers 18004253800 and 1800112211 to get your existing card blocked. Our customer service representatives are available 24*7 to assist you. Alternatively, you may also visit the branch where you hold your account and give a request to send us your card details from their official email id to block the card.

We also have the facility to block your ATM card through online banking following two ways;
(i) without logging into OnlineSBI.
(ii) With logging into OnlineSBI.

(i) Without logging into OnlineSBI:
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE:
Step 1: Go to home page of OnlineSBI https://www.onlinesbi.com or retail login page https://retail.onlinesbi.com/retail/login.htm
Step 2: Select “Block ATM Card” link. After Clicking a new page will open.
Step 3: Procedure to Block ATM card will be displayed on the screen.
Step 4: Click on ‘Next Step’ button to proceed.
Step 5: Input your account number.
Step 6: Select ‘Country’ from the dropdown.
Step 7: Input the mobile number registered with the bank.
Step 8: Enter the text as shown in the image.
Step 9: Click ‘Submit’ button.
Step 10: Enter the One time password sent to your mobile phone.
Step 11: Click ‘Submit’ button.
Step 12: A success message would be displayed with a Ticket No. after successful blocking of your ATM cum Debit Card. Note this Ticket No. for future reference.

(ii)With Logging into OnlineSBI:
STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE:
Step 1: Login to www.onlinesbi.com with your username and password.
Step 2: Select “ATM Card Services” link under the “e-Services” tab
Step 3: Select the Block ATM Card.
Step 4: The entire Active and blocked cards will be displayed. You will be shown the first 4 and last 4 digits of the card(s).
Step 5: Select the Card, you wish to block and click “Submit”. Verify the details and confirm.
Step 6: Select the mode of authentication as either SMS OTP or Profile Password.
Step 7: On the next screen, enter the OTP password /Profile password as chosen earlier and Click “Confirm”.
Step 8: A success message would be displayed with a Ticket No. after successful blocking of your ATM cum Debit Card. Note this Ticket No. for future reference.

Note: Cards once blocked, cannot be unblocked through Online SBI.

We also have a facility to block the ATM card through SMS. We request you to kindly send an sms in the below format to get your ATM card blocked:

BLOCKXXXX to 567676 from Card holder’s registered mobile number ( in CBS) only (XXXX is the last 4 digits of State Bank Debit Card which Card holder wishes to block).

On acceptance of the request for blocking, the Card holder shall get a confirmatory SMS alert with ticket number, date and time of blocking.

FAQs regarding Sbi rupay Platinum Debit Card.

Q: What are the renewal charges after expiry of the Card or if the card is damaged before its expiry date?
A: After expiry of the card, the renewed Debit Card will be issued free of charge. If the card is damaged before its expiry date, the Branch Manager will have the discretion to provide one replacement free of charge. The customer will be charged Rs. 300/- for the second such instance before the expiry of the Debit Card.

Q: What are the replacement card charges in case of loss of card?
A: In case of loss of Debit Card, replacement card will be issued at a charge of Rs. 300/- plus service tax.

Q: Can State Bank RuPay Platinum Debit Card be used internationally?
A: No. State Bank RuPay Platinum Debit Card can be used only in India

Q: What are the daily cash withdrawal limits for RuPay Platinum Debit Card?
A: Minimum Rs. 100/- and Maximum Rs. 1,00,000/-

Q: What is the daily purchase limit at Merchant Establishments/Point of Sales/Internet Merchant Establishments?
A: Maximum Rs. 2,00,000/-per day

Q: What is the validity of the Card?

One way inter-changeability allowed between branch transaction and ATM transaction. It means a customer will be allowed 9 free transactions at our Group ATMs if he does not visit the branch at all during a month or 8 free ATM transactions if he visits the branch once and so on.
