Excitel Broadband offers high speed internet service with wifi router and modem ONT on fiber technology called FTTH. Excitel offers full fiber service where fiber is laid till customers home. However Excitel works on franchise model for provide service. Here last mile is given via franchise who install their own fiber from franchise office equipment/ OLT to customer’s home premises.

Customer can book connection directly from franchise also called local cable operator (LCO) or via Excitel’s website also. Excitel also provides it’s own sales executive to each LCO for sales push. Once connection is availed customer can recharge by paying cash to franchise or from app or website of Excitel.

Now the installation part is Excitel gives you dual band router + ONT for Rs.2000 refundable security deposit. Extra Rs.500 is charged for cable however it depends on LCO most of time. Downtime and fault resolution also is very much LCO/franchise dependent. Excitel service can vary a lot from area to area depending on way these lco treats customers, attend and resolves complaints. Whenever one faces downtime in Excitel it’s better to complaint LCO first rather Excitel because resolution is faster if LCO starts working on it faster.

Excitel 100mbps Plan Review: This is the best plan from Excitel where customer pay anything from 399+gst to 699+gst depending on term of the plan. Customer usually gets 100-110 download speed & 90-110mbps upload speed. This plan is good enough for 3-4 UHD 4k stream or 10-15 Full HD stream. For streaming service you won’t face any problem with Excitel. For VPN service or cctv service where cgnat poses a problem, do note that Excitel provides CG-NAT ipv4 address and there is no provision to get a dedicated ipv4 even by paying extra. Even ipv6 is not available on Excitel and customer has no hint of when it gonna launch. For most normal usage you won’t face any problem and speed are in defined limit too. However on public holidays during peak hours sometimes speed do suffer. Final verdict we’ll give 9 out of 10 for Excitel 100mbps plan for overall speed.

Excitel 300mbps Plan Review: This is the best plan from Excitel where customer pay anything from 499+gst to 899+gst depending on term of the plan. Customer usually gets 300-310 download speed & 290-310mbps upload speed. This plan is good enough for 13-14 FHD 4k stream or 25-30 Full HD stream if the router can support that much speed. For streaming service you won’t face any problem with Excitel. For VPN service or cctv service where cgnat poses a problem, do note that Excitel provides CG-NAT ipv4 address and there is no provision to get a dedicated ipv4 even by paying extra. Even ipv6 is not available on Excitel and customer has no hint of when it gonna launch. For most normal usage you won’t face any problem and speed are in defined limit too. However we recommend to use range extender or mesh router for better coverage as default router of Excitel suffers for 300mbps plan speed. Final verdict we’ll give 9 out of 10 for Excitel 300mbps plan for value of money plan.
