No need of Jio Prime recharge on new mnp nos

Jio’s new mnp numbers can recharge with any prepaid plan without the need of doing Rs.99 jio prime recharge first.

Jio prime was mandatory till now. My Jio app still doesn’t allow to go through plan recharge without prime addon.
However most direct selling agent of Jio are giving sim without any prime recharge.

For any person doing MNP, first recharge is to be done later after porting is complete. Now customer can do recharge online with any of Jio’s plan of Rs.19, Rs.52 , Rs.98 , Rs.149, Rs.309, Rs.399 , Rs.459, Rs.499, Rs.509 , Rs.799, Rs.999 without doing the prime recharge. For this you need to recharge via any third party app like phonepe, payzapp etc instead of doing the recharge directly from my-jio app or from any retailer.

Here is screenshot of account  with plan recharge Rs.399 done without Jio Prime. As Prime icon shows up after My Account in My Jio app, you can’t see that in below screenshot.

Even if you buy a new number on Jio sim then also when first recharge is mandatory from retail shop itself we must force them to do plan recharge without the Jio Prime recharge.

I think most retailers don’t allow to recharge without the Jio prime as I think they get extra commission on doing so. Still prime is useless thing with every 3 months changing tariffs and at this point is valid for max. 3-4 months. Time to get rid of it completely. Are you listening Jio?
