Update: Airtel is buying Tata Docomo mobile operations, so no more shutdown.
We all know about the financial woes of Tata Docomo mobile service division. Especially after the Docomo exit. Even Airtel has pulled out of the deal to buy the assets of Tata Docomo after it’s parent singtel didn’t wanted to get involve in the mess.
Now the final stop is coming. Tata Group has started to wind up it’s mobile service business. And it’s rivals are using this in full to attract Tata Docomo subscribers.
Users are getting poached from other operators “Tata Docomo is getting closed port your no to us , visit nearest retailer”.
Although subscribers would get enough time to port out to another operators so need to worry for now. However better not to make long validity or big talktime recharges as no refund would be issued for left over balance.
