Airtel is targeting heavy usage customers with it’s yet another segmented offer. This plan is called Rs.799 recharge plan which offers 2GB data per day along with local, std and even roaming calls of 4800-minutes per month included.
This unlimited roaming inclusion makes this recharge quite attractive for heavy roamers for still want to stay on Airtel network only. The no which got this Rs.799 offer is one where Rs.345 1Gb per day recharge was done recently.
Jio offers same plan in Rs.499 with extra 100sms free per day which is missing in this Airtel’s Rs.799 recharge. Also Jio app suite is much better with Jio Tv, Jio Cinema, Jio Mags very good source of free tv shows, movies & magazines. Airtel on other hand offer just Airtel cinema app. Airtel has stopped Ditto Tv subscription for 4G data users it announced just few months back.
Infact roaming calls is thing attracting many users to Jio 4G as even Jio’s lowest Rs.149 recharge denomination got unlimited roaming calls included. Unlimited roaming calls are missing in Airtel’s Rs.345 & Rs.599 recharge which offers unlimited local+std calls along with 1GB & 1.5GB per day data respectively.
Airtel misleadingly announced “death of roaming” from 1st April 2017 however gave only incoming in domestic roaming free & still charges outgoing calls rate different from home rates. Jio on other hand made it clear from day 1 of launch that it would roam like home rates anywhere in India and is keeping it’s promise for now.
