According unconfirmed reports Jio is selecting random users for 5G trial phase. However it is not completely free this time. Jio is asking these users to enroll for Rs.239 plan which gives customers 1.5GB per day data for 4G and for this trial period unlimited 5G data.
So if customer selected by Jio recharges with this plan then he will get unlimited 5G data for testing phase of jio 5G. To be eligible for Jio 5G trial customer need to have 5G handset with stand alone 5G though unlike Airtel 5G Jio hasn’t issued any official handset list. We are not sure how true this welcome offer is.
So the wait is on. To check whether you are eligible for Jio 5G just open myjio app on your 5G handset with jio 4g sim inserted. You’ll be given a popup or notification if eligble for this trial.
