For Area above 150sq ft and room is on top floor or having window with direct sunlight any time during. Better opt for 2.0 Ton of Inverter AC or 1.8 ton of non-invertor AC. Because Invertor are more power efficient on higher tonnage when they work on half load.
If you still want to opt for 1.5ton then non-invertor AC would be better unless you live in places where temp never go past 40-42 deg like Mumbai, Bangalore etc.
