New TRAI tariff regulation year 2020 brings joy for many. Best is 60% discount on NCF for child connection. So Rs.52 is maximum DTH and cable tv operators can charge for each additional child connection. In this Rs.52+gst one can get upto 200 channels which can be free to air channels or paid(charges extra).

Until now Tata Sky was charging full Rs.130 per month for each additional connection even in a multi connection setup. Now TRAI is forcing for minimum 60% discount on NCF for all the child/addon connection. So from 1st April 2020 NCF of child connection would go down from Rs.153.4 to Rs.61.36 which is the price charged after GST.

Previously Tata sky and most cable operators were giving almost zero discount on second/additional connection. Airtel was giving Rs.50 discount on NCF aka Rs.92 while Dish TV/D2H was giving giving child/additional connection at just Rs.50 NCF which is almost equal to current TRAI mandated tariffs. However for child connection only Airtel and Tata Sky give choice to select different packages for every child connection, rest most LCO and Dish tv/D2h just give same package as parent connection. So previously Airtel was best bet with both discount and freedom of channels but after current tariff comes into play both Airtel & Tata sky would be almost same.
