Airtel is always offering upgrade to its old adsl users. Though plan offered are mostly of higher rental than existing plan customer is using but they do come with substantial more data usage than current plan.
One such plan is Airtel-UL-POWERDATA 3000 500GB which as the name of the plan suggest is heavy usage plan.
Plan name is Airtel-UL-POWERDATA 3000 500GB
This plans monthly FUP data limit is 500Gb.
Rental of this plan is Rs.3000+tax and plan code is FLBPL992369.
Speed on this plan is upto 16mbps.
Also you won’t find this plan on website of Airtel as this plan is only for old customers. You have to talk to customer care to get this plan. Do mention the plan name and plan code.
If you want to opt for this plan.
Good Luck!
Simply amazing
Wait, so if I have that 200GB plan and then, if I call the sales person and ask them to upgrade to the 500GB will they upgrade the plan regardless of my area ?
Yep just call 121 or email 121@in.airtel.com and ask for the 500GB plan. You can easily get the plan regardless of area.
Atleast whats been told to me.
“Speed is independent of plan, depends on exchange level.”
You mean the telephone exchange? That is my location can only support 8mbps?
Or can i ask them to upgrade my plan to 16mbps?
Because I can see on their website they have a plan for 16mbps with 200GB limit per month, which costs the same as my plan of 8mbps and 500gb limit currently. Wondering which is better.
Anyway, thanks for clarifying and info.
If you read clearly about 200GB plan on site it says upto16mbps which means same plan can be offered on 2mbps,4mbps,8mbps or 16mbps speed.
I am myself on 16mbps plan but get 8mbps only becoz max 8mbps speed is feasible in my exchange acc. to sales guy.
Speed depends on exchange capability and line condition(in some cases).
To know max speed feasible in your area better ask the sales guy and specifically ask what max speed possible in exchange
I got upgraded to this plan. But speed only 8Mbps.
Speed is independent of plan, depends on exchange level.
