Jio has launched its Air Fiber service in limited areas for now. Only available in Mumbai & Pune for now even when launch release from co says 8 cities. All Jio Airfiber plans include OTT apps subscriptions along with Jio tv set top box to activate and watch it. It will be available in other 6 cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru & Ahmedabad later. You can book Jio Airfiber by paying ₹100 as booking amount here.
Now lets talk about what you need to pay initially. So all Jio fiber plans are available in 6 month and 12 months advance rental plan at start. For 6 month advance rental you would pay ₹1000 installation + ₹1000 security deposit. While for 12months plan installation charges is waived off and you only pay ₹1000 security deposit. However beware Jio doesn’t refund any of advance rental if you cancel connection at any point of time within that period.
For ₹599 Jio airfiber plan plan you have two options initially:

In ₹599 plan you get 30mbps unlimited speed + unlimited voice calls(attach your own landline) + 11OTT apps subscription.
Customer will get 1 outdoor 5g modem + POE adapater + 1 wifi 6 router + 1 jio set top box.
So this plan is same as plan ₹599 of Jio fiber which includes 399+199OTT subscription. Jio is not providing standalone airfiber plan like it did with Jio fiber. You will get 550+ channels as claimed by Jio on set top box + myjio tv app. Only amazon prime and netflix need to be brought separately.
Airfiber is best for people who can’t get fiber connection direct from any provider. Or for those who getting too many disconnections with their existing fiber connection. or those need backup connection.
Jio would later also give option of modem+router in same device similar to airtel current airfiber offering however no time frame is given for that.
