Bsnl fiber service allow customers to buy their own ONT modem router unlike private fiber broadband provider like jio or airtel where you are provided the ont by isp only. This allows Bsnl customers to buy ONT modem as per their needs like you can buy ONT modem with or without wifi, single band or dual band wifi, single lan port or multiple lan port etc.
The drawback of buying from open market is price are little higher in comparison to what isp charges though you get to own the ont in bsnl while in airtel/jio you need to surrender ont wifi router without any refund.
