Jio has announced Jio prime membership program. This is for users already on Jio network or any other use who join JIO before 31st March 2017(yes Mukesh Ambani said that in his speech). For registration under JIO Prime Membership Program
For Jio Prime Membership details
- Fees Rs.99 one time(can only be availed by 31st march 2017)
- Rs.303/month from 1st April for total of 12months.
- 1GB free per day(Rs.51/GB(valid 1 day) or Rs.303/6GB(valid 28days) after that)
- Free voice calls anywhere from India/ to India(local std roaming)
- Free app membership till 31st march 2018
For Non Jio prime members
- standard tariff plans apply.
- can recharge with Rs.149 or Rs.499 recharge.
- 20% more data than any recharge offer by competition.
- matched data vouchers would be launched on daily basis.
So you have two options. Either enroll by 31st March 2017 in Jio Prime or wait more attractive tariff plans after that. I think they are testing waters to know how many enroll by 31st march 2017 and would launch tariff plans according to that. One thing is sure they’re targeting Rs.300 ARPU.
I would have liked it better if they put in 30GB per month limit instead of 1GB/day which quite limiting. Anyway good thing speed and network quality gonna improve. Now lets see how many out these 100million+ enroll in Jio prime, how many opt for other recharge vouchers and how many simply throw away the sim.
To enroll/Register for Jio prime membership program three methods are available:
- On Jio APP (online payment)
- On Jio.com website (again online payment)
- Reliance digital store or from retail outlet(cash/card payment)
Rs.303 Recharge is must after JIO Prime Registration
Once you register for JIO Prime Membership Program Rs.303 recharge per month is required. We don’t even know if it is 30days or 28days.
