jan 2017: Nextra has launched new updated infinity plans in Delhi Ncr. Nextra is fiber based broadband provider giving out services in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and just now launched in Jaipur also.
Nfinity plan was previously launched as true unlimited plans however after some time Nextra put a FUP on these plans also. Limit of FUP is not mentioned on their site however according to customer care it’s 400GB. They have reduced price of these plan due fierce competition in broadband sector in Delhi due to entry of Excitel broadband which is acting as Jio of wireline broadband service.
Previously given Rs.1099 nfinity plan is now Rs.999 only with speed increased to 25mbps. And 10mbps Nfinity plan with rental of Rs.800+tax plan looks recently launched. However still can’t beat the 20mbps unlimited plan in just Rs.699+tax provided by Excitel broadband.
Nfinity 10 – Speed 10mbps – Data unlimited – 799+tax = Rs.918.85
Nfinity 25 – Speed 25mbps – Data unlimited – 999+tax = Rs.1148.85
The introduction of FUP on these unlimited plan makes it clear that Nextra is not in a mood give true unlimited plans to it’s users or maybe doesn’t want to spend much on bandwidth wholesale cost. Still we have seen people who opts for true unlimited plan can’t keep their downloading craze for more than 1-6months. After that it’s not that insane. So hopefully Nextra can learn something from these trends and remove fup from all it’s plans and charge according to the speed only.
