Tp-Link Deco M4 finally support wifi scheduling

Deco M4 the vfm mesh router from Tp-Link finally supports power saving mode and wireless scheduling after the march 2023 firmware update.

In wireless scheduling one can schedule when to switch off and on the whole wifi network though day wise scheduling is missing. Here too 2.4ghz can be left out of scheduling if one has iot devices or want low frequency network in night. Wireless scheduling was much needed feature which even the old gen single band router have.

Power saving and ultra power saving mode and light can also be scheduled. According to internal tests done by Tp-Link it is reported that one can save over 30% power over normal mode. Though TP-Link has not mentioned how this is achieved. Though co did claimed that it can power saving mode can led to reduced speeds on the wifi network.

Tp-Link said other models of DECO will also be pushed with similar features soon.
