This card has been little downgraded recently(2017). spending slab increased from Rs.7500 to Rs.10,000 in both card. No more Gold Class tickets(Recliner seats).
In Delhi-NCR Gold Class tickets cost Rs.750 on weekends so 2 tickets are worth Rs.1500 which you get free on spending Rs.7500 back then. I use to hold PVR Platinum card before downgrade. Closed now. Too much hassles for free movie tickets. At that time I upgraded from Gold card to Platinum card after 1.5 years of usage. Though now I feel PVR Gold card is better as you pay less annual fees.
Still @ Rs400 per ticket price on avg PVR movie hall depends on day of the week.
PVR Platinum Card gives max 7% value back on spending ₹10000 after adjusting the annual fees.
PVR GOLD Card gives 4.67% value back on spending ₹15000 minus annual fees. Reduce this return rate to 3.5% or 2.33% on platinum and gold card respectively if you have any other credit card with 1+1 offer via bookmyshow.
Verdict: If you are regular to PVR movie halls only and don’t have any other 1+1 credit card then you can consider this credit card.
