Unable to reach a mutual agreement between Star India and Airtel digital tv lead to pullout of former channels from later platform. Airtel Digital consumer would be unable to view star channels on any of the package. While basic SD channels were made opt-in if included in base pack. HD channels were completely ala-carte which required opt-in for each channel individually.
All the above drama was to happen from 8th march 2017 however is deferred til april 2018 pending similar kind of court cases between broadcaster and dth providers. As per the verdict agreement would be reached.
