According to some users on facebook Telenor is giving 4G upgrade offers to it users for past few weeks.
Telenor already has narrow band 4G in Varanasi and now its planning to launch 4G in Lucknow on 25th May 2016.
Users are being given extra Rs.10 talktime on free upgrade to 4G sim card.
Telenor got 5Mhz liberalized spectrum in UP circle. Modern LTE tech allows 4G service on as low just 1.4mhz of spectrum. So what we expect is Telenor is using 1.4mhz for 4G which gives speed in range of 3-5mbps.
Rest 3.4mhz is being used for 2G voice service as before.
Overall a good move for subscribers and they got some really cheap 4G pack.
