Till few years back Inverter AC was limited to split AC only. However from last years LG & Voltas introduced inverter Ac in windows segment too.
LG was first one to introduce inverter technology in both 1.5 ton & 1 ton category window AC that too with both 3 star and 5 star rating. And now 4 star rating inverter AC too is available.
Now most of the brands offer window AC with inverter AC technology.
Voltas introduced just 1 model 3 star 1.5ton.
Later even Bluestar introduced one 1.5ton 3 star windows inverter ac. Godrej also followed with a 1.5ton only model wth same 3star rating.
Having inverter AC in window segment solves the noise problem that non-inverter window AC have as both outdoor n indoor are integrated into 1 piece. Inverter AC have less noise as they tend to start at lower compressor power and gradually increase it. Also once the desired cooling is achieved inverter AC slow down compressor to required lower level of compressor.
LG here took another advantage by not only launching only inverter AC they even launched dual inverter ac technology from day one.
This lead to further lower noise as AC compressor can even run on 1/10th of load at start or once the desired cooling is achieved.
