Jio’s jiophone famous Rs.49 recharge plan is a history now i.e. from 6th December 2019. That means subscriber won’t be able to recharge any new Rs.49 from now on.
This recharge was famous for unlimited offnet and onnet calls with 1GB data n 50 free sms valid for 28days. A truly revolutionary product that can be used on a 4G feature phone only.
In October price hike Jio removed offnet call aka calls to other operators completely. So Rs.49 use to offer unlimited calls to jio only with 1GB data and 50sms only. Plan was showed in other recharge on app or mostly bundled with topup.
In current December price hike jio has removed Rs.49 recharge completely. Rs.75 is minimum recharge now though 500offnet minutes are bundled in this along with same unlimited jio to jio calls and data of 100MB per day & same 50sms.
Jio is costliest operator for minimum plans recharge with big difference in smartphone. For smartphones one need to recharge minimum Rs.129 per 28days while for jiophone one needs to recharge Rs.75 per 28days. In comparison Airtel,Vodafone, Idea offers Rs.49 as minimum recharge for any kind of phone.
