Airtel has slashed price of it’s 4G modem to Rs.999 only from curent Rs.1999. Airtel 4G hotspot doesn’t supports any kind of voice calls. Airtel currently have two models in market older huawei e5372(white) and newly launched Zte wd670(black).
Airtel 4G hotspot is available for Rs.999 at their online website also(screenshot below). 
This reduction is done to price match Jio’s jiofi mifi device available in market for Rs.999 or less for quite sometime now. Jio slashed price of it’s jiofi2 device from Rs.1999 to Rs.999 during the diwali offer.
Before the Diwali offer it was already offering some bundled data offer free with device bringing it price effectively to less than Rs.1000.
