Idea & Vodafone have completed almost all formalities of merging their companies. Only the final approval from DOT is pending which can come any day now.
And the good news is both cos are ready to merge their network their network.
In fact Idea customer care in Delhi & Kolkata is telling customer that access to Vodafone 4G would be possible from 1st Oct 2017. These are the only two circles where Idea doesn’t have any 4G network.
We think even reverse would also be possible. That is Vodafone users in Delhi would be able to access Idea 900mhz 3G network which got better penetration in building. As both brand would remain active they sure would give tough fight to Airtel & Jio in many circles where they are missing now.
Aircom is another operator to be possible from Dec 2017 or start of 2018 if everything goes as per plan.
