Rs.1500 feature phone from Jio 4G is made by Intex.
First lot would be imported one then made in India at Intex Noida facility.
Other manufacturers would also provide handset as demand picks up.
The phone is free however Rs.1500 security deposit need to be paid.
At end of 36months this feature phone can only be returned if no external damage to phone has been done & recharge of ₹5500 or more has been done on sim using the phone.
Rs.153 X 36 recharge need to be done.
Rs.153 recharge would give:
- 500MB data per day then 128kbps
- Free unlimited local std roaming calls
- 100sms free per day
- 28days validity
Rs.309 Dhan Dhana Dhan plan can also be used with this phone.
Other sachet plan of Rs.24 & 54 with 2days & 7days validity resp. also launched.
At this time not sure if tethering facility available for the phone or not.
Jio would also give a TV cable(at xtra cost) with this phone to stream on TV however only possible if one recharges with Rs.309 recharge plan.
