Answers to some frequently asked general questions about Jio Prime Offer Plans. Just to clear up confusion.
Q: When Paytm and FreeCharge will be added in the payment option in myjio app?
A: As Jio money is the competitor of Paytm and Freecharge we don’t expect these to be added in official Jio app n site anytime soon.
Q: Will I loose Jio Prime membership if I don’t recharge with any of the packs available?
A: No you won’t lose any Jio prime until membership expiry date 31st march 2018 which is same for all.
Q: What is Jio Prime?
A: Jio Prime is a unique discounted membership program offered to any user who subscribe to Jio 4G mobile service before 31st march 2017 and recharge with Rs.99 membership fees. For period of 1year till 31st march 2018 for all recharge denominations that subscriber would get extra data than a regular customer who subscribe on/after 1st April 2017.
Q: How to become a part of Jio Prime?
A: If you already have Jio service activated on Jio sim card then a simple recharge of Rs. 99 from either My-Jio app or jio.com or Reliance Digital store need to be done.
Q: I just subscribed Jio Prime membership but I didn’t got any confirmation regarding subscription, what to do?
A: Just check at myjio app or login to jio.com, if your subscription is activated you would see “Prime Member” logo/tag added to your account if not then may be some thing went wrong. Better mail on care@jio.com or call 198 from Jio
Q: Is voice unlimited calling in Jio prime limited to 1000mins in some of recharge packs?
A: Voice call is truly unlimited without any FUP for all prime and non-prime packs where it is mentioned.
Q: Will I get Night unlimited from 2-5am in jio prime?
A: No, Night unlimited is not provided in Jio Prime membership. However you can still enjoy it free till 31st march 2017 under happy new year offer only.
Q: Will I get additional Wi-Fi hotspots data in prime or non-prime packs?
A: No, Wi-Fi hotspots data is also not offered from 1st April 2017.
Q: Amount charged to my debit card/netbanking but prime membership not activated, when would I get refund?
A: Don’t worry refund would in your account within 4-5days. you can still mail your no and bank ref no care@jio.com
Q: Will my prime membership get forfeited if I choose not to recharge for a month?
A: According to Jio it’s mandatory else prime membership would expire.
Q: Does Jio offer Prime membership lifetime or yearly?
A: Current for 1 year only.
Q: Is data pooling a feature present in Jio Prime?
A: Not yet. Nothing like family plan from Jio for now.
Q: As my current operator provide me daily recharge facility will Jio Prime also provide me the same?
A: Yes you can opt for recharge like Rs.19 prime plan with 1 day validity or topup with talktime(base tariff would apply)
Q: Is Jio Prime really the best plan out there??
A: Well according to my calculations, yes it’s cheapest out of rest with so many options.
Q: If I port to Jio can I become a Jio Prime member?
A: Yes however your port request should be given before 31st march and should be successful. Prime fees is collected upfront after 3rd march 2017.
Q: How long can I go without recharging on Jio?
A: Without any usage and recharge. If your balance is less than Rs.20 then your number will remain active for 90 days. If more than Rs.20 then Rs.20 would be deducted every month for non-usage. Best option is to make one chargeable call/sms every month.
Q: From where can I get Jio Prime subscription?
A: Recharge by using MyJioApp or paytm or at Jio retailers or Reliance digital stores. Mobikwik & other wallet to start soon.
Q: How can I confirm that I am a Jio Prime member?
A: Login to jio.com or check MyJio App for prime logo.
Q: Does the talktime / Voice calls have any FUP in Jio Prime?
A: No Fup on voice calls, all unlimited free.
Q: Jio vs Airtel which is more VFM value for money now?
A: For now Jio it is.
Q: Do college student still get that 25% discount as announced in sept?
A: Doesn’t apply on Jio prime offer.
Q: Do I have to pay 99/- every month for Jio Prime?
A: Rs.99 is one time after that any recharge plan as per your requirement. Jio prime just gets you additional benefits with same recharge plan.
Q: Is it necessary to take 149 plan at my first recharge?
A: No. Online you can opt for any plan however Reliance digital stores are forcing users to opt for Rs.303 or more plan.
Q: What are Jio isd tariff charges?

Q: Any option to take multiple plans in jio?
A: You can opt for add-on boosters however if you recharge multiple times with a plan voucher like Rs.149 or Rs.303 or Rs.19 then those voucher would come up in queue and be applied only when validity of existing plan vouchers expies. Explained nicely here.
