Bsnl has started test launch of 4G services on 2500mhz band and is deploying TDD Lte on 20mhz of spectrum it brought in 14 circles.
Currently test launch is being done in Chandigarh where 35mbps speed was attained according to PTI release.
2500mhz band is good for outdoor coverage however lacks indoor coverage as it can’t penetrate concrete walls most Indian homes are made of.
Still a good initiative as these type of network are being used to provide fixed wireless broadband to rural areas in many countries.
Hoping that Bsnl would provide complete blanket coverage to each and every rural area of India.
