On complaint of Airtel, Vodafone & Idea, Trai has asked advised Jio to withdraw Summer offer from immediate effect citing predatory prices as reason. From midnight tomorrow all Jio users who have not taken any plan recharge won’t be able to take Jio summer surprise anymore. Jio summer surprise is withdrawn by Jio from 9th April 2017 as TRAI just advised like a friend not ordered so implementation was slow.

It’ still not clear what is the last date however according to customer care rep we talked to tomorrow aka 9th April 2017 not sure is the last date. All customer who have already taken this offer would be honored till tomorrow
All customers who have subscribed to Jio Summer Surprise offer prior to it’s discontinuation will remain eligible for the offer.

Thank god free period is going to get over so that we can see the real speeds of all the networks under load with paid data offers to seriously decide where a user need to head to.
