Icici Coral credit is one decent card I find in market for someone looking to earn good benefits on their regular card spending. Though there are many better value providing Indian credit cards from other providers however if you are looking one particular from Icici Bank because they offered you one then coral can be considered in good reward cards.
Joining gifts are all paid beacuse you are paying first year fees of Rs.999.
Instead consider joining without any gifts to avoid the first year fees.
From second year onwards ₹ 500 + service tax is charged which can be avoided by spending 1,25,000 in a year which is roughly Rs.10,000+ per month.
Points you earn:
Earn 4 PAYBACK points on every ₹ 100 spent on dining, groceries and at supermarkets
(which Re1 per Rs.100 i.e. 1% cashback)
Earn 2 PAYBACK points on every ₹ 100 spent on other transactions(50paise per Rs.100 i.e. 0.5% cashback)
Redeeming payback points is fairly easy so consider these points as cashback only.
Other Benefits.
Buy 1 get 1 movie ticket free on bookmyshow( max 2 free tickets per month of upto ₹ 250 per ticket).
15% on your dining bill at all participating restaurants on culinarytreats.com.
2 complimentary domestic airport lounge visits per quarter only on mastercard variant.
At HPCL petrol pumps waiver of 2.5% on fuel surcharge plus you earn points.
So a good card if you plan to use it in groceries and supermarket n dining and plan to spend minimum Rs.10,000 per month plus you get free movie tickets n complimentary lounge access. Fuel surcharge is not a benefit in my opinion.
Definitely go for Icici Bank Coral Credit Card if you can’t something more rewarding than this card.
